Amelia Island Restaurant Week is in its final stretch, and if you have been meaning to enjoy it, now is the time. With today being January 22, there are just a few days left to experience one of Amelia Island’s most loved traditions before it wraps up on January 25.
Each January, this ten-day dining event brings our community together around food, family-owned restaurants, and local talent. Organized by the Amelia Island Convention & Visitors Bureau, Restaurant Week highlights 24 locally owned restaurants across the island. From the north end to the south end, downtown Fernandina to oceanfront dining, this event showcases the full flavor of Amelia Island.
What makes this week special is the focus on each restaurant’s claim to fame. These are the signature dishes and neighborhood favorites that locals return to again and again. Whether you enjoy fine dining, casual coastal fare, Mediterranean flavors, or classic seafood, this event tells the story of Amelia Island through its food and the people behind it.
Downtown Fernandina is especially lively during Restaurant Week. One popular example is The Patio at 5th and Ash, where you can dine inside or enjoy the patio while soaking in the charm of historic Centre Street. Restaurants like this are part of what gives Amelia Island its small-town feel and strong sense of community.
Restaurant Week is also about supporting local businesses during a traditionally slower season. The CVB works directly with restaurants to boost midweek dining and bring attention to the small, independent establishments that help shape the island’s identity. When you dine out this week, you are supporting local families, chefs, and staff who pour their hearts into what they do.
Two standout culinary events frame the week and highlight Amelia Island’s chef talent. The opening dinner, New Traditions, took place January 15 at Nonna Mia inside the Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa. This newly opened restaurant brought a family-style Italian experience inspired by seasonal ingredients and coastal European flavors.
The closing dinner is still ahead and happens on January 25 at Salt at the The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. A Taste of Every Table brings together four chefs de cuisine, each presenting a personal favorite in a one-night tasting experience that celebrates creativity and craftsmanship.
As a real estate team rooted in this community, we love highlighting events that show what life here is really about. Amelia Island Restaurant Week is a reminder that where you live is about more than a home. It is about connection, local traditions, and supporting the businesses that make a place feel like home.
If you have not made plans yet, there is still time. Reservations are encouraged, and many spots fill quickly as the week comes to a close. You can explore participating restaurants and event details at AmeliaIsland.com/Yummy.
This is your last call to enjoy Amelia Island Restaurant Week and savor the flavors that make this island such a special place to live, visit, and put down roots.
